If you are under 18, you may not use the Service without explicit parental consent. We reserve the right to terminate accounts that we believe are operated by unauthorized minors.
Alma utilizes advanced artificial intelligence to index memories and generate text, audio, and visual content ("AI Content"). You acknowledge and agree that:

Violation of this policy will result in immediate account termination without refund and potential referral to law enforcement.
Alma offers premium subscription tiers that unlock advanced features such as extended memory processing, visual avatars, and voice generation.
We respect the intellectual property rights of others. If you believe that content located on or linked to by Alma violates your copyright, you are encouraged to notify us in accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). We will respond to all such notices by removing the infringing content or disabling all links to the infringing content. We will terminate a visitor's access to the Service if, under appropriate circumstances, the visitor is determined to be a repeat infringer.
Alma relies on third-party foundational models and APIs to generate multi-sensory content. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature of the Service (including specific voice or visual generation capabilities) at any time, with or without notice, if our upstream providers change their terms, pricing, or availability. You agree that hialma.org LLC will not be liable to you or to any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuance of the Service.
Upon account deletion or subscription lapse, we are not obligated to retain your relational memories, persona embeddings, or generated media assets. We reserve the right to permanently delete inactive data from our servers to manage computational and storage resources. It is your responsibility to export or save any vital text or media prior to account closure.
If you send us direct feedback, comments, suggestions, or ideas regarding the Service ("Feedback"), you agree that we may use such Feedback without any restriction or obligation to compensate you. By submitting Feedback, you grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, non-exclusive, worldwide license to incorporate your ideas into the Alma platform.
hialma.org LLC claims no ownership over your original uploaded data ("User Generated Content"). However, by posting Content to the Service, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, process, and display that Content strictly for the purpose of operating and improving the Service.
Your use of the Service is at your sole risk. The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. We expressly disclaim all warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including, but not limited to, implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
In no event shall hialma.org LLC, its founders, or affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, emotional distress, or other intangible losses resulting from your access to or inability to access the Service, or any AI Content generated by the platform.
Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration, rather than in court. You and hialma.org LLC agree that any dispute resolution proceedings will be conducted only on an individual basis and not in a class, consolidated, or representative action.
These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect. Continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
By creating an account on Alma, you agree that we may send you electronic communications, including transactional emails, system updates, and automated engagement or check-in notifications from your AI companion. You can opt out of receiving companion-initiated check-in emails at any time by updating your preferences in your Account Settings.
